Co-operative Online Course

The Co-operative Federation of Victoria Ltd is developing an online course for co-operatives called Understanding Co-operatives. The work for this has been undertaken by the Deputy Chairman, Graeme Charles, and the Secretary, David Griffiths. This work has been supported by the Gardiner Foundation and Murray Goulburn Co-operative Co Ltd.

CFV Success with Victorian Government

The Co-operative Federation of Victoria Ltd has succeeded in lobbying the Victorian Government to amend the Co-operatives act to oprovide discretion for the registrar of Co-operatives to exempt small co-operatives from all or specified financial reporting and audit requirements under the Act.

Indian Co-operators Visit Victoria

The Co-operative Federation of Victoria Ltd recently hosted a visit to Melbourne by a group of officials from the National Co-operative & Rural Development Banks Federation of India. Visits were arranged to Murray Goulburn Co-operative Company and Genetics Australia. The co-operation given by MG Chairman Ian MacAulay and Genetics Australia CEO, Ray Johnson, was greatly appreciated.
