Rochdale consumer co-operatives and Australian labour history is a paper by Nikola Balnave, University of Western Sydney, and Greg Patmore, The University of Sydney, on the idea of Rochdale Co-operaqtion being imported from the United Kingdom to Australia. The paper examines the meaning of 'co-operation' and has a focus on particular attributes of the Rochdale consumer co-operatives and how Australian labour historiography has marginalised consumer co-operatives.
