The Co-operatives Bill 2007 had its Second Reading in the WA Legislative Assembly on 29 November 2007.
The purpose of the Bill is to replace the existing Companies (Co-operative) Act 1943 and the Co-operative and Provident Societies act 1903 with legislation that is reflective of the current commercial and social environment of co-operatives in Western Australia.
