Living Co-operatively Affordable Housing - Sustainable Communities, Petersham Town Hall, Sydney 13-14 February 2008. A two day symposium to examine the connection between housing and strong communities and to develop a response at all levels of government to urban Australia's affordable housing crisis. This is a great opportunity to help set the agenda in housing policy in this new political environment.



To be opened by the Hon. Linda Burney, NSW Minister responsible for Fair Trading, Youth and Volunteering.  

Keynote speaker: Gun-Britt Martensson, International Co-operative Alliance  

Other speakers include: Professor Julian Disney Director, Social Justice Project University of New South Wales and Chair, National Affordable Housing Summit; Gary Moore, Director Community Services Marrickville Council;  Professor Jenny Onyx, Director, Cosmopolitan Civil Societies Research Centre, UTS; Karine Shellshear, Executive Officer, Association to Resource Co-operative Housing; Dr Jo Barraket, Department of Political Science, University of Melbourne and John Mant, lawyer and urban planner.
