SunRice Chairman, Mr Gerry Lawson, said, "Listing on the National Stock Exchange of Australia is a momentous occasion for SunRice as it marks a new step in our evolution. We first flagged the commencement of a share trading facility in 2005, when the co-operative converted to a company,

"Our business has been on an exciting journey over the past three to five years. Despite the drought we have continued to perform well, year-after-year, delivering strong returns to rice growers as well as growing the business,

"Listing on the NSX will mean shareholders of the business will, for the first time, be able to trade their B Class Shares amongst themselves. This will provide shareholders with the opportunity to unlock some of the value of their investment in the business or to increase their investment in SunRice,"  said Mr Lawson.

Shares in SunRice are not open to the public and can only be held and traded by current rice growers and former rice growers who hold B Class shares

Mr Gary Helou, CEO, SunRice said, "We have a vision to become the world's favourite rice food company, and our strong performance in product innovation, global market expansion and business acquisitions, positions us well for ongoing growth. Listing on the NSX will further bolster our capacity to grow the business," said Mr Helou.

"SunRice is a significant player in the global food market, with leading brands in Australia, and internationally in the markets of New Zealand, Asia, the Pacific, Papua New Guinea and the Middle East," said Mr Helou.

NSX Chairman, Mr Ian Mansbridge said," The listing of SunRice is important for the National Stock Exchange of Australia. The confidence shown by the corporate sector in our market and our transparent trading platform is growing rapidly."

"By listing on the National Stock Exchange of Australia, SunRice shareholders have a transparent and regulated marketplace for the trading of their shares. Shareholders will also have ready access to company information via the NSX website www.nsxa.com.au,"  said Mr Mansbridge.
