The  Chairman of the Co-operative Federation of NSW and General Manager Sales & Importing of the Plumbers Supplies Co-operative Ltd, Tony Rogic, will be addressing a University of Sydney Co-operatives Research Group meeting on Wednesday, 26 May 2010, between 12-1 p.m., Dean's Boardroom, Level 2, Faculty of Economics and Business, H69. Tony's presentation will be based on the co-operative, its history, growth and future challenges and touch on the challenges faced by co-operatives in the current economic and social climate. Australian Cooperative Foods Demutualisation Ballot

Members of Australian Cooperative Foods Limited (ACF) are being asked to vote on the demutualisation of the co-operative. This follows the report from Grant Samuels & Associates which the ACF has described as an independent expert. The co-operative needs 75% or more of its active members to support demutualisation. The Registry of Co-operatives & Associations in New South Wales, Austraqlia, has compiled a report presenting a statistical snapshot of the co-operative sector in New South Wales for the 2005-06 financial year. The report provides a general overview of the sector, together with key financial indicators for reporting co-operatives according to industry classification and geographic location.

The International Co-operative Alliance is the peak body for co-operatives worldwide. Founded in 1895, ICA has 225 member organisations and represents more than 800 million individuals.
