Eric Dudley Butler the founder and director of the Australian League of Rights for 47 years until 1993 died on 09 June 2006.

On its website, the Australian League of Rights concludes: "Eric Butler's life and teaching touched the lives of many, many people, not just throughout Australia but in other parts of the English speaking world."

The League of Rights has been a "third force" in Australian politics at national and state levels. The League has been criticised for anti-Semitism.

The League has also supported social credit and economic democraqcy. Economic Democracy is a platform of the League including.
