Credit Union Merger - Savings and Loan and Australian Central

Two South Australian credit unions are proposing to merge - Australian Central Credit Union and Savings & Loan Credit Union. It's another example of credit union consolidation in Australia.

Australian Central Credit Union has over 180,000 members, employs over 500 staff and manages assets and funds in excess of $3 billion.

Savings & Loans is Australia's second largest credit union with over 190,000 members and 620 staff. Consolidated interest income in 2008 was $217,527,000.
