For the year ended 30 June 2007 the total income was A$1,989,506 and total expenses A$892,190. The net profit for the financial year after provision for income tax was A$1,097,315 (2006 A$41,170). During the financial year the co-operative received A$1,000,000 from the Department of Human Services to purchase properties.
In the Annual Report, the Chairperson, Tracey Hall, comments interalia: "As Chair for the past year my aspiration was to expand SEHC, this has been achieved by property purchase. The opportunities for the future is to have further expansion through property purchase, mergers with other housing agencies and growth in whatever form is available. I wish to see that SEHC is one of the best Housing Providers around and that as this happens our members have training to be the next generation of Directors on the Board."
In the Annual Report, the Manager, Greg Flynn, commented interalia: "Over the past few years and under the pressures of registration, SEHC has developed into a far more robust and competent organisation......There is a need for affordable housing in the southeast growth corridor, perhaps we can be a major player in its provision."
