The Geraldton Fishermen's Co-operative has purchased the major assets of Westar Lobster.

Geraldton Fishermen's Co-op Web Site

The purchase will enable the co-operative to control 65% of the WA rock lobster catch.

Established in 1950, the co-operative is Australia's largest producer and exporter of lobsters and lobster products. The co-operative has annual earnings of approximately A$100,000,000 and at the peak of the season employs approximately 250 workers.
